Opera at the Red Barn - a beautiful event and a success.

The Opera Highlights performance at the Red Barn was hosted by Jim and Alyson Broadfoot, and presented by the Sydney and Southern Highlands Music Society. In keeping with previous Robertson Village Concerts, all profits after expenses go to support local community groups, in this case, the Bowral Hospital or Robertson Garden Club.

The Red Barn
There is no doubt that everyone who attended yesterday's Operatic performance at the Red Barn enjoyed it immensely. As for it being a "success", that is more of a financial calculation, but I was sitting in the second back row, so by my calculation, it was a "full house".

Gennadi Dubinsky
Marianne Shepherd, mezzo-soprano
Robert Wilson, Tenor.
Jane Macintosh, from Berry is a new singer, from the Eisteddfod circuit. She has a very fine soprano voice. Coming from Berry, we can regard her as a "local", which is nice. She was a big hit with the audience.

The event was nicely staged, and quite informal,
with good interaction between
the players and the audience.

that informal interaction.
